System requirements

The games can be played on any device that has a Google Chrome web browser, such as a computer, tablet or phone. Also plays well on Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge.

How to play

Use the arrow keys to move, space to shoot, F to enter full screen mode, and M to pause the music. In the menus, press the underlined letter to select that option. If you make it past the first game level, and also beat your own high score, then you can enter your name into the scoreboard, for others to see. Use the arrow keys and space bar to write your name. See the specific games below for more info.

To play the games in full screen mode on a tablet or phone, tap the three dots at the top right to open the browser's menu, and select "Add to Home screen". Close down the browser, and then restart the game by tapping on the game icon on your start screen.

Technology

The games are HTML5 based, using Javascript as programming language, the WebGL API for graphics, and the Web Audio API for sounds. No third party code libraries are used.

This means that the games are online only, and they run in the safe evironment of a web browser, unable to harm or affect your devices.

Pac Boy

This game is inspired by the arcade game Pac Man. Collect the leaves at the cemetery, but stay away from the men who hunt you. When you pick up a graduate hat, you get temporary powers to hunt your bullies for extra points. Every 5,000 points a fruit appears. Collect it to add another life. The three guys have different strategies. Learn about it to get an advantage against them. Catch the chicken for an extra life.

On a computer, use the four arrow keys to control direction. Press the I key for info, the P key to play and the Return key to pause.

On a tablet or phone, swipe the screen to control direction. Tap at the top to pause.

Border Centipede

This game is inspired by the arcade game Centipede. Shoot the centipede of illegal immigrants as they get closer to the US border. If you let any of them enter the US, or if you collide with them, you lose power. Watch out for the scorpions, as they will scare the immigrants to dash forward. Every 10,000 points a cactus flower will appear. Shoot it to get an extra life.

On a computer, use the left and right arrow keys to control direction, and the space key to shoot. Press the I key for info, the P key to play and the Return key to pause.

On a tablet or phone, swipe the right side of the screen to control direction, and tap on the left side to shoot. Tap at the top to pause.

Migration Madness

This game is inspired by the arcade game Tetris. Stuff as many of the migrants as you can on the boat, by turning and shuffling them around for the best fit. When a row is full it will be eliminated. If the boat gets overloaded, it will sink.

On a computer, use the left and right arrow keys to move to the sides, the up key or space key to rotate, and the down key to place on the boat. Press the I key for info, the P key to play and the Return key to pause.

On a tablet or phone, swipe right or left to move, swipe up to rotate, and swipe down to place on the boat. Tap at the top to pause.

Thailet

This game is inspired by the arcade game Gauntlet. Run the gauntlet through narrow alleys to find the "thailet", a Thai style toilet. Bribe your way forward by shooting Thai money at opponents and their home bases, through 15 challenging levels.

Maintain good health by avoiding to touch the opponents and their projectiles. At zero health you are taken to hospital with a hefty bill. Keep in a good mood to stay alert and fast. Some opponents add to your mood, some ruin it if you get too close. You have 90 days on your visa. Use them well! When your visa runs out, you can get an expensive extension. When your money runs out the game ends, and you are kicked out of Thailand.

Some tips:

On a computer, use a mouse and click in the direction you want to move. Click and press the space key to shoot. You can also use the arrow keys, but the game gets harder to play. Press the I key for info, the P key to play and the Return key to pause.

On a tablet or phone, tap near the direction button to move, and tap on the gun button to shoot. Tap at the top to pause.

Fateroids

This game is inspired by the arcade game Asteroids. Shoot food at the people and watch them grow and multiply, and later fade away. Avoid the bones that the dog shoots at you. The cat will give you an extra life if you feed it enough.

On a computer, use the left and right arrow keys to turn, the up key to move, and the space key to shoot. Press the I key for info, the P key to play and the Return key to pause.

On a tablet or phone, tap on the right or left side of the direction control to turn. Tap above the direction control to move. Tap on the gun to shoot. Tap at the top to pause.

Colonize

This game is inspired by the arcade game Qix. Claim the continent bit by bit, by blazing a trail into new territory. Draw a trail from one part of the frontier to another part. Be careful to not collide with local animals, or hit your own trail, or let the natives hit your trail. Every 5,000 points a bonus building will show up. Claim it and you will get an extra life. If you claim a really large area in one go, a more valuable building will appear that gives you higher score.

On a computer, use the arrow keys to move along the frontier path. Press an arrow key and the space key at the same time to start a new trail. Press the I key for info, the P key to play and the Return key to pause.

On a tablet or phone, swipe on the right side of the screen to move. Swipe on the right side and at the same time tap on the left side to start a new trail. Tap at the top to pause.
